Betty is the Founder and Principal of Green Onion Consulting.Betty is an experienced Clinician, with more than 30 years’ practical experience working in the Community / Not-For-Profit and Government Sectors (including Health / Hospitals) – in Australia, USA, and UK.
Betty is an Accredited Mental Health Social Worker (AMHSW), Approved Victims Services Counsellor (NSW), Registered Medicare Provider, and member of Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW).
Betty is also a skilled and accredited (Cert TAE) Educator / Trainer. Betty has developed and delivered many groups, workshops and therapeutic programs, including teaching Welfare and Community Services at TAFE.
Betty’s therapeutic style is warm, Trauma-Informed, Anti-Oppressive, Person-Centred, Strengths-Based, Rights-Based, and Culturally Responsive.
Betty has a life-long commitment to Social Justice, brings lived experience of living with culture, speaks Greek, and celebrates and embraces diversity (LGBTQI+ safe, neuro- affirming approaches).
While Betty has worked with many different people across the lifespan, she has a strong therapeutic interest in working with adults, people with a disability, women with health concerns (e.g. menopause, pelvic mesh injuries, etc.), and carers.
