Fee options

Medicare Bulk Billed

  • $0 no cost to you, with a valid GP referral

  • Up to 10 sessions per year

  • Access to psychological support by our Accredited Mental Health Social Worker

  • 50-minute Telehealth (phone or video) sessions

We proudly offer accessible mental health care and bulk-billed psychological support through the Australian Government’s Better Access Initiative. To access this service, you will need a Mental Health Treatment/Care Plan, which is issued by your GP, outlining your mental health goals and treatment options. This plan and referral (dated on or before your first session) allows you to claim up to 10 individual Medicare sessions each calendar year.

  • Up to 10 sessions per year

  • Access to psychological support by our Accredited Mental Health Social Worker

We can offer Medicare rebates for our Walk & Talk clinical mental health services. This means that you could be eligible for a rebate of $109.75, if your session is provided outdoors.

To access this service, you will need a Mental Health Treatment/Care Plan and referral, which is issued by your GP, specifying that you require outdoor treatment, and stating why this would be beneficial to your mental health.

  • $0 no cost to you, if you have been approved for Victims Services Counselling in NSW

  • Phone and video sessions

  • Home Visits, with approval

  • Case Management, with approval

  • All you need to do is provide us with your reference number, and date of birth.

  • Did you know that the NSW Victims Support Scheme offers up to 22 hours of free counselling for people injured by a violent crime or modern slavery? Once the 22 hours has been used, further hours may be approved for exceptional reasons, or if the applicant was a victim of child sexual assault or child physical abuse.

Victims Services Counselling

NDIS Support

  • $0 to you if you have appropriate NDIS funding

  • Fees are set according to the NDIS Pricing Arrangements and Limits

  • Allied Health Therapeutic and/or Capacity-Building Support delivered by our experienced Trauma-Informed and Neuro Affirming Social Worker

Whilst Green Onion Consulting is not a NDIS Provider, we can offer support under your NDIS plan if you are self or plan managed. Please get in touch to discuss further.

Private Health Funds

We may be able to offer you a rebate with your private health insurance, if you are covered by one of the following insurers. The rebate varies depending on the level of cover you hold. Please check your individual coverage for mental health services, and talk to us for more information.

The Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW) is continuing to advocate to have Accredited Mental Health Social Workers (AMHSWs) included in more private health funds as eligible providers of mental health services.
